Frameless shower screens made to measure
Zeenee Aluminium manufactures and fits made-to-measure frameless glass shower and bath screens across London and the surrounding areas. Backed by a 10-year guarantee.
Off-the-shelf shower enclosures assume your bathroom is square and your walls are plumb. In most London properties, particularly Victorian and Edwardian housing, neither is true. That is why standard enclosures end up packed out with silicone at one edge and looking like an afterthought.
We template the actual opening and cut the glass to it. The screen fits the room rather than the room accommodating the screen, and the difference is immediately visible along the wall junction.
All glass is toughened safety glass to BS EN 12150, typically 8mm or 10mm depending on the span, with the option of low-iron glass where you want to avoid the slight green tint you get in standard float glass, and easy-clean coatings that stop limescale bonding to the surface.
What affects the price of a shower screen
Screens are priced per project, from a single bath screen through to a full walk-in enclosure. The variables:
- Configuration — a single fixed panel, a walk-in with return, a hinged door, or a full enclosure.
- Glass thickness — 8mm or 10mm, driven by the span and whether the panel is fixed or hinged.
- Glass type — standard toughened, low-iron for true clarity, or fluted, tinted and obscure finishes.
- Coating — easy-clean treatment, which is worth having in a hard water area like London.
- Hardware finish — chrome, matt black, brushed brass and others.
- Wall condition — out-of-square or uneven walls need a templated fit rather than a standard one.
We measure on site and give you a written fixed price with no obligation.

Common questions about shower screens
What thickness glass do I need?
8mm suits most bath screens and smaller fixed panels. 10mm is the better choice for larger walk-in panels, where the extra rigidity stops any perceptible flex. We specify based on the actual span rather than defaulting to one or the other.
Is frameless glass safe?
Yes. All glass is toughened to BS EN 12150, which means it is several times stronger than ordinary glass and, in the rare event of breakage, fragments into small blunt pieces rather than shards.
What is low-iron glass?
Standard float glass has a faint green tint, most visible at the edges and on thicker panels. Low-iron glass removes it, so white tiles behind the screen read as white. Worth it on a large panel, less noticeable on a small bath screen.
How do I stop limescale marks?
An easy-clean coating makes the surface hydrophobic so water beads and runs off rather than drying in place. In London’s hard water it makes a real difference. A squeegee after showering does the rest.
Can you fit to an uneven or out-of-square wall?
Yes, and this is the main reason to have one made rather than buying off the shelf. We template the actual opening so the glass follows the wall line.
What hardware finishes are available?
Chrome, matt black, brushed brass, brushed nickel and gunmetal are the usual choices. Matt black and brushed brass are currently the most requested.
How long does installation take?
Templating takes about half an hour. Manufacture is usually within a week, and fitting is normally a single visit of two to three hours.
