Aluminium sliding doors supplied and fitted across London
Zeenee Aluminium designs, manufactures and installs aluminium sliding doors across London and the surrounding areas, usually fitted within 10 days of order. Every installation is FENSA registered and backed by a 10-year guarantee.
Sliding doors suit openings where you want the largest possible pane of uninterrupted glass. Unlike bifolds, the panels slide behind one another rather than folding, so there are no stacked panels intruding into the room or the patio when the door is open.
The trade-off is straightforward: a sliding door gives you a better view when closed, because there are fewer frames breaking up the glass. A bifold gives you a wider clear opening when open. Which is right depends on how you actually use the space, and that is one of the things we talk through at survey.
We supply standard sliding systems, slim-frame systems with sightlines down to around 20mm, and lift-and-slide systems for very large or heavy panels where a standard roller would struggle.
What affects the price of aluminium sliding doors
Sliding doors are priced per project rather than off a list, because the variables move the number considerably. The main factors:
- Opening width and number of panels — a two-panel slider and a four-panel slider are very different builds.
- System type — standard sliding, slim-frame, or lift-and-slide. Slim-frame and lift-and-slide carry a premium.
- Glass specification — double or triple glazed, solar control, acoustic, toughened or laminated.
- Panel weight — larger panes need heavier-duty running gear and sometimes a crane or extra installers on the day.
- Threshold type — a flush threshold looks better and is more accessible, but needs correct drainage detailing.
- Colour finish — any RAL, including dual colour inside and out.
We give you a written fixed price after measuring, with the full specification set out. There is no obligation to proceed and the survey is arranged at a time that suits you.

Common questions about aluminium sliding doors
Sliding doors or bifolds, which is better?
Neither is better in the abstract. Sliding doors give a cleaner view when closed because there is less frame. Bifolds give a wider clear opening when open. If you mostly look at the doors, choose sliding. If you mostly open them fully, choose bifold.
How wide can a sliding door go?
Very wide. Multi-panel and multi-track systems can span most domestic openings. The practical limits are panel weight, how the panels stack, and whether the structural opening above can carry the load. The surveyor will confirm.
What is a lift-and-slide door?
Turning the handle lifts the panel slightly off its seals before it slides, so very heavy panels move easily. Lowering it again compresses the seals for a tighter weather and acoustic seal. Worth considering on large panes.
Can I have a flush threshold?
Yes. A flush or low threshold removes the trip hazard and makes the inside and outside read as one level. It needs correct drainage detailing underneath, which we specify at survey stage.
Are aluminium sliding doors secure?
Yes. Multi-point locking, anti-lift blocks and toughened or laminated glass as specified. Aluminium is considerably stronger than uPVC at the same profile thickness.
Do sliding doors need planning permission?
Usually not for a like-for-like replacement. Creating or enlarging an opening in a structural wall is a different matter and may need Building Control approval. We flag this at survey.
What guarantee do you offer?
10 years on the product and the installation, and every job is FENSA registered so the certificate sits on the national register. You will need that if you sell the property.
